  • Job Description



    Build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers and other structures.

    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

    Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

    Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.

    Build foundations and other concrete formed structures, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.

    Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.

    Maintain, repair and renovate commercial buildings and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, parkades, institutional buildings and other establishments.

    Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.

    Adhere to Frontier Employees policies and procedures.




    Must have concrete form work experience.




    The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time. Manual dexterity, balance for working on scaffolding. To solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately. The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Get along well with others and client service interaction skills.


    Training / Education


    Commercial construction experience or a Carpenter Journeyman ticket is an asset CSTS 09, WHMIS 2015, OSSA Fall Protection training




    Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.
